How to improve the operation efficiency of slurry pump
Slurry pump is an indispensable equipment in mineral processing industry, its main function is to provide power for pipeline transportation. Due to the unreasonable use method or blind selection of slurry pump, the energy consumption of the pump is wasted and the wear is too fast. In fact, as long as we choose and use the slurry pump correctly and reasonably according to our own situation, we can use the slurry pump efficiently.
In order to ensure the efficient operation of slurry pump, it is necessary to timely adjust the ground clearance between slurry pump impeller and front guard plate. The clearance between metal lined pump impeller and front guard plate is between 0.5-1 mm, and that between rubber lined pump impeller and rear sheath shall be equal.
When adjusting the impeller clearance of slurry pump, first stop the pump, loosen the bolt that compresses the bearing assembly, and screw the nut on the adjusting bolt to make the bearing assembly forward bearing. At the same time, rotate the shaft by hand according to the rotation direction of the pump until the slurry pump impeller rubs with the front guard plate. For the metal lined pump, loosen the nut that was just tightened in front by half a circle. Then tighten the nut on the front of the adjusting bolt to make the bearing assembly move backward. At this time, the clearance between the impeller and the front guard plate is 0.5-1 mm. For the rubber lined pump, screw the nut on the adjusting bolt to make the bearing assembly of slurry pump move forward first, make the impeller contact with the front guard plate, and then move the bearing assembly backward to make the impeller contact with the rear sheath, and measure the moving distance between the bearing assembly and the slurry pump Take this distance as the clearance between the impeller and the front and rear sheath, and then adjust the position of the bearing assembly with the adjusting bolt to ensure the correct clearance value between the impeller and the front and rear sheath.
After adjustment, before starting again, it is necessary to check whether the impeller of slurry pump rotates normally, whether the compression bolt and adjusting bolt of bearing assembly are tightened, and then start the slurry pump.
