What is a slurry booster pump?

 

If the head required for a pipeline application is too high when a single centrifugal slurry pump couldn't reach the high pressure. And considering wear may become a problem due to high roation speed. It is necessary to use a slurry booster pump for increasing the total pump pressure. One of our most populor slurry booster pump model is 8/6FF-MAH.

Impellers:

The impeller is the main rotating part which worn out quickly. MST slurry booster pump using 27% high chrome white iron(Cr27) which is suitable for high concentration of slurries with solids.

Casings

Most of the other supplier using grey iron casing but MST use ductile iron which is more wera resistance. And the slurry booster pump casing could be rotated according to the pipeline direction.

 

Shaft sealing of slurry booster pump 8/6

The shaft seal is one of the most important mechanical elements in slurry booster pump.

Generally, customers prefer expeller seal. Expeller seal is an improvement on gland packing. The main advantage of expeller seal is that leakage is reduced without purchasing a mechanical seal. Besides, the gland packing is not pushed too tightly. It will make the shaft and shaft sleeve service life more longer.

 

Bearing

MST slurry booster pump 8/6 use original bearing like Timken, FAG. And for bearing housing, we use ductile iron also.
