Electric motor multistage pump was used for conveying clear water that does not contain solid particles or suspended solids, or liquids similar to clear water in physical and chemical properties. The rolling bearings are lubricated with grease, the plain bearings with thin oil and self-lubricated with oil rings, cooled by external water.
There are two types of shaft sealing mechanical sealing and packing sealing. Electric motor multistage pumps mostly are used by packing seal. When the pump adopts packing seal, the position of packing ring should be placed correctly and the tightness of packing needs to be correct. Electric motor multistage pumps are directly driven by the prime mover through a flexible coupling. From the direction of the prime mover, the pump rotates clockwise.
