The 58m Head Horizontal Slurry Pump is a specialized fluid-handling device engineered for efficiently transporting high-concentration, abrasive slurries across industrial scenarios. Its 58-meter head rating enables it to overcome significant pipeline resistance, making it ideal for sectors like mining, mineral processing, and coal washing-where slurries often contain hard particles that test equipment durability.

Material: 27% high-chromium alloy. This composition delivers exceptional wear resistance, a key requirement for slurry handling. Unlike standard metals that quickly erode under particle impact, the 27% high-chromium alloy forms a dense, hard surface layer, significantly extending the pump's service life and reducing frequent replacement costs. It also maintains structural stability under the pump's operating pressure, avoiding cracks or deformation caused by abrasive wear.

In practical use, the pump's horizontal design allows for easy installation and maintenance, while its 58m Head Horizontal Slurry Pump ensures consistent slurry delivery even in long-distance or high-lift pipelines. Whether transferring mineral tailings, coal slime, or other abrasive mixtures, the combination of its performance parameters and high-chromium material makes it a reliable choice for heavy-duty, long-cycle industrial operations.

58m Head Horizontal Slurry Pump: Typical Application Cases in Mining and Chemical Industries

I. Mining Industry: Metal Mine Tailings Conveying System

A copper-zinc mine concentrator produces approximately 5000 m³ of tailings slurry daily (containing copper-zinc tailings particles, average particle size 0.1-0.3 mm, weight concentration 55%), which needs to be transported from the concentrator to a tailings dam 3 km away. The conveying route includes two 12m high inclines, requiring a total head of approximately 52m, matching the pump's rated head of 58m.

Key Compatibility Features: The 27% high-chromium alloy impeller and sheath withstand the high-frequency impact of tailings particles. After 6 months of use, the wear is only 0.8mm, far lower than the average monthly wear of 3mm for ordinary cast iron pumps, reducing spare parts replacement frequency by 80%.

Operational Results: Using three pumps operating in parallel (each with a flow rate of 60 m³/h), the outlet pressure remained stable at 0.5 MPa throughout the entire process, with no interruptions in delivery due to insufficient head. Furthermore, the 22 kW motor configuration resulted in approximately 150 kWh of energy savings per day compared to other pump types operating under similar conditions.

II. Chemical Industry: Transfer of Phosphogypsum Slurry in Phosphate Chemicals A phosphate chemical plant needed to transfer phosphogypsum slurry (containing sulfate ions, pH 2-3, and 40% solids content) generated during phosphoric acid production from the reactor to the filter press workshop. The transport distance was 800 m, requiring passage through three right-angle bends, placing extremely high demands on the pump's corrosion resistance and anti-clogging capabilities.

Key compatibility features: In addition to the wear-resistant 27% high-chromium material, the pump's mechanical seal is made of fluororubber, which can withstand acidic media corrosion; simultaneously, the 58m head can offset the pressure loss caused by elbows, ensuring that the gypsum slurry flow velocity in the pipeline remains stable at 1.8m/s, preventing solid particle deposition and blockage.

Operating performance: The single pump operated continuously for 3000 hours without failure. The feed pressure in the filter press workshop remained stable at 0.48MPa, and the gypsum slurry moisture content was controlled below 25%, meeting the requirements for subsequent dry stacking. Furthermore, compared to the previously used rubber-lined pump, the maintenance cycle was extended from 1 month to 4 months.
