What should be attention for the maintenance of split case pump
Attention shall be paid to the maintenance of water pump, especially the maintenance of split pump (single-stage double suction split case pump), because the split case pump is mostly used in the situation of large flow. If the attention is not paid during the maintenance, the efficiency of water pump may be reduced, but the requirements of large flow water pump cannot be met.
1. In addition to strictly following the installation and operation instructions, the use of water pumps should also pay attention to two points:
First, never rely on experience alone. For example, when the bottom valve of the water pump leaks, some of the manual drawings are easy. Before each start-up, fill some dry soil into the inlet pipe orifice, and then fill water to flush the soil to the bottom valve, so that the bottom valve does not leak. This method seems simple and easy, but it is not enough. Because when the pump starts to work, the sand in the bottom valve will enter the pump with the water and wear the impeller, pump shell and shaft, which will seriously affect the service life. The correct way is to repair the bottom valve, which can not be repaired, replace it.
The second is to eliminate the fault in time, and never let the unit work "with fault". For example, if it is found that the packing of water pump shaft is seriously worn, the packing should be added in time, otherwise the packing of water pump shaft will leak. Leakage of water pump shaft packing not only causes excessive energy consumption of the unit, but also causes cavitation, which accelerates the damage of impeller and directly affects the service life of water pump. For another example, if the pump is found to vibrate violently, it should be stopped immediately for inspection, otherwise, if the pump is bent and deformed, it is likely to have a safety accident.
2. After using the water pump unit and pipeline for a period of time, the following maintenance work shall be done:
(1) Drain the remaining water in the water pump and pipeline.
(2) If the disassembly is convenient, the water pump and pipeline can be removed and cleaned.
(3) Check the ball bearing, such as inner and outer wear, loose movement, ball wear or surface spots, and replace them. If it can be used, use gasoline or kerosene to clean the bearing and then apply butter for preservation.
(4) Check whether there are cracks or small holes on the impeller and whether the fixing nuts of the impeller are loose. If there is any damage, repair or replace it. Check the clearance of impeller wear reduction ring. If it exceeds the specified value, repair or replace it.
(5) If the water pump and pipeline are not disassembled, the outlet shall be sealed with cover plate to prevent sundries from entering.
(6) When the transmission belt is not used, it shall be removed, cleaned and dried with warm water, and stored in a place without direct sunlight, and also not in a place with oil, corrosion and smoke. In any case, do not touch the tape with oil, diesel or gasoline, and do not apply rosin and other sticky substances to the tape. Before using the tape, the white powder on the contact surface of the tape shall be removed.
(7) All screws and bolts shall be cleaned with wire brush and coated with engine oil or immersed in diesel oil for storage.
