What is the difference between self-priming pump and centrifugal pump
It is need to inject amount of water into the self-priming pump for circulating when starting for the first time. However, it is necessary to fill the centrifugal pump inlet pipe and the pump body with water, or to pump the inlet pipe with auxiliary devices each time when starting.
Self-priming pump only have a filter at the lower end of the intake pipeand no bottom valve. And the centrifugal pump must be installed at the bottom of the valve or at the exit with a pumping device in the inlet pipe .
The general self-priming centrifugal pump is lower efficiency and cavitation performance than centrifugal pump under the same performance condition.
