The Working procedure of chemical pump
Chemical pumps are widely used in such industries as chemical industry, petroleum, metallurgy,
pharmaceutical, electric power, papermaking, food and synthetic fiber etc. Chemical pumps rely on centrifugal force to transport materials. The working procedures are as follows:
Before the chemical pump works, the pump plate and inlet pipe must be filled with liquid to form a vacuum state. When the impeller rotates rapidly and the blade makes the liquid rotate quickly as well. The rotating liquid material fly away from the impeller under the action of centrifugal force. After the water in the pump is thrown out, the central part of the impeller forms a vacuum area. The liquid material is pressed into the feed pipe through the pipe network under the atmospheric pressure . In this way, it can realize the continuous transportation.
Before starting the chemical pump, the casing is filled with the transported liquid; after starting, the impeller is driven by the shaft to rotate at high speed, and the liquid between the blades must also rotate with it. Under the action of centrifugal force, the liquid is thrown from the center of the impeller to the edge and obtains energy, leaving the edge of the impeller at high speed and entering the casing.
In the casing, the liquid slows down due to the gradual expansion of the flow channel, and then transforms part of the energy into static pressure energy, and finally flows into the discharge pipe at a higher pressure and is sent to the place where it needs to be. When the liquid flows from the center of the impeller to the outer edge, a certain vacuum is formed in the center of the impeller. Because the pressure above the liquid level of the tank is greater than at the inlet of the pump, the liquid is continuously pressed into the impeller. So, the liquid will continuous to circulate as long as the impeller lasting to work.
