Occasion of use
The parallel operation of slurry pump is the operation mode that two or more pump outlets deliver fluid to the same pressure pipeline
The purpose of parallel operation is to increase the flow.
Commonly used in the following situations:
1. Do not interrupt the liquid supply. For safety reasons, it is used as a standby pump
2. It needs too much flow, it is difficult to manufacture with one pump, and the cost is too high
Or when the power start is limited
3. Project expansion, need to increase flow
4. Due to the great change of external load, it is necessary to adjust the number of pumps
5. Reduce the capacity of the standby pump
2. Matters needing attention during operation of slurry pump
1. When the slurry pump works in parallel, it is better to have the same head or smaller difference
In order to avoid that the pump with small head has little or no effect, two pumps with the same performance should be used as much as possible to work in parallel
2. When the pumps work in parallel, the inlet and outlet pipelines of the pumps should be basically symmetrical and the same, so as to avoid the reduction of the function of the pump with large pipeline resistance
3. Select according to the flow of the pump, otherwise the parallel operation cannot work at the highest efficiency point
4. Attention shall be paid to the matching power of the pump. If a single pump is running, the matching power shall be selected according to the flow, so as to prevent the overpower of the prime mover
5. In order to increase more flow after parallel connection, the performance curve of the pump should be steeper and straighter
6. In order to increase more flow after parallel connection, the flatter the characteristic curve of head slurry pump is, the better
That is to say, the diameter of outlet pipe should be increased and the resistance coefficient should be reduced to meet the need of increasing flow after parallel connection
