Introduction to the slurry pump impeller:

The impeller of slurry pump refers to the wheel plate with moving blades, and also refers to the general name of the wheel plate and the rotating blades on which it is installed. Impeller is the key part of slurry pump. It is a rotating body with blades that transmits energy to liquid. It is composed of several curved blades.

Impeller function:

The function of the impeller is to transfer the mechanical energy of the prime mover directly to the liquid, so as to improve the static and dynamic pressure energy of the liquid.

Material of slurry pump impeller:

Wear resistant and corrosion-resistant high chromium alloy (A05, A07, A33, A49), also have rubber impeller

Classification and function of impeller of slurry pump:

1. The impeller of slurry pump is divided into the following forms according to the mechanical structure: closed, semi closed and open.

(1) Closed impeller

It is composed of blade, front and rear cover plates. The efficiency of closed impeller is high, and it is difficult to manufacture, so it is widely used in centrifugal pump. It is suitable for conveying clean liquid without particles with small viscosity such as clear water and solution.

(2) Semi closed impeller

Semi closed impeller is suitable for conveying materials easy to precipitate or slightly containing particles, and its efficiency is lower than that of closed impeller

(3) Open impeller

The impeller with only blades but no complete cover plate is called open impeller. Open impeller is suitable for conveying materials with more suspended solids. Its efficiency is low, and the pressure of conveying liquid is not high.

2. According to the way of liquid absorption, it can be divided into single suction and double suction.

(1) The single suction structure is simple, and the liquid is only inhaled from one side;

(2) The double suction structure is relatively complex, and the liquid is inhaled from both sides, which has a large suction capacity.

3. According to the blade shape, it can be divided into backward curved blade, radial blade and forward curved blade. Because the backward curved blade can obtain higher static pressure energy, the backward curved blade is often used in slurry pump.

4. The impeller of slurry pump is the working part of slurry pump, which transmits energy through rotation

5. In the selection and design of slurry pump, the impeller diameter of slurry pump can be cut to achieve proper flow and head

6. The impeller of slurry pump is the work component in the overflow component of slurry pump, and it is the fastest wearing part.
