As the special working situation, the material of slurry pump must be special. The material of slurry pump includes wear-resistance material and common material. The wear-resistance material is the key point for the pump, that is the material for end parts. The common material is often used for the non end-parts, including frame, pump casing, and couplings, ect.
Abrasion-resistance metal material refers to abrasion-resistance white cast iron, its rigidity is much high. It can be sorted as: common white cast iron (no alloy elements), low white cast iron ( alloy elements ω＜3%), medium white cast iron (alloy elements ω=3%-10%), high white cast iron (alloy elements ω＞10%). Non-metal material is natural rubber and synthetic rubber.
Due to slurry pump transferring coal powder, pulp, slag liquid, aluminum liquid and other granule substances, which are corrosive slurry, instant energy at high-speed rotation is too huge, causing impact erosion, cavitations erosion and corrosive erosion to the pump wed parts, seriously effecting the service life of the wet parts, the anti-abrasion performance of the wet parts material is the key for slurry pump. The normal material for end parts is wear-resistance metal material and non-metal material.

This material is high rigidity, hardness after heat-treatment up to HRC58~62, good performance in anti-abrasion and good corrosive performance for alkaline liquid. It can be used for heavy abrasion. It is the popular material for slurry pump because of its long service life and moderate price.
2. Cr15Mo3
Cr15Mo3 is usually used for transporting high concentration, heavy abrasion slurry with high head. But it is subjected to apply because of its high price.
Hardness after heat-treatment: HRC58-70. As its high hardness, good performance of wear-abrasion and brittle performance, it is used for dealing with medium impacted slurry.
Cr15Mo3 is for bigger particle diameter size, KmTBCr27 is better for small particle diameter size.
