1, pump after disuse, to put the pump and pipeline water, and the external soil cleaning, so as not to freeze the water after the pump body and pipe swell crack.
2, the water pump bottom valve, elbow, and other cast iron, should use steel wire brush to brush rust, and then painted after painting rust-proof paint, to be dry and then placed in the engine room or storage room ventilation dry place preservation.
3, belt drive, clean the belt with warm water and place it in the dry place, no direct sunlight, no oil, no corrosion or smoke. Anyhow, the belt should not be coated with oil, diesel or gasoline, rosin or other sticky substances.
4, check the ball bearing, replace new bearings if the inner and outer wear, open, or surface spots. Clean the bearings with gasoline or kerosene if they do not need to be replaced, butter them and reassemble them.
5, check the pump impeller whether there are cracks or holes, and fixed nut of impeller whether loose, if damage, please repair or replace new. If the impeller worn too much or damaged, replace by a new impeller. Partial damage can be fixed by welding or by using epoxy mortar to repair the impeller. After repair, the impeller should usually be subjected to static balance tests. Check the clearance of the wear-reducing ring of the impeller, if it exceeds the specified value, it should be repaired or replaced.
6, bending or worn pump shaft, repair or replace, otherwise it will cause the rotor imbalance and the related parts damage.
7. Remove the screws by soaking them in diesel oil, scrubbing them with a wire brush, applying oil or butter, resetting them, wrapping them in plastic and placing them (or soaking them in diesel) to avoid rusting or loss.
