How to distinguish the coil is copper core or aluminum core?
When you buy a electric motor, how to distinguish the coil is copper core or aluminum core? You can know it according to the methods as below:
Check the motor nameplate and catalog, an additional "L" or "A" will be added on the model.
Check the weight and size, the weight and size for aluminum core is a little bigger than that for cooper core.
Cut the coil to check, if white color, it is aluminum core.
Test the coil resistance, the bigger one is aluminum core coil.
