Gold Mining Metal Slurry Pump

The slurry pump delivers a mixture of solid particles containing slag and water. But in principle, the slurry pump is a type of centrifugal pump. In iron and steel enterprises, it is mainly used for slurry transportation in systems such as converter dust removal water, blast furnace gas washing water, continuous casting turbid ring water and steel rolling turbid ring water. The structure of commonly used slurry pumps is as follows.

(1) Pump head structure. The pump body adopts a double-layer pump casing (double-layer metal structure inside and outside). The double-pump casing shell structure is a vertical center-opening type. The water outlet position can be installed and used in 8 different positions by rotating at 45° intervals. In order to effectively prevent shaft seal leakage, a combination of dynamic seal, packing seal or mechanical seal is used. There is a labyrinth gap seal between the impeller and the rear guard plate, which greatly reduces the leakage of slurry into the stuffing box and effectively ensures the reliability of the seal. The impeller is equipped with back blades to discharge the backflow slurry in time, thereby increasing the volume ratio, reducing backflow and erosion, and extending the life of the flow-passing parts. To facilitate maintenance and disassembly, a disassembly ring is provided to avoid shaft cutting due to inability to disassemble.

(2) Bracket structure. The bracket structure is a horizontal split type. In order to extend the service life of the bearing, the hydraulic design and structural design have been optimized. Make the radial force and axial force reasonably distributed, and correctly select the bearing form, model, cooling and lubrication method.

(3)Shaft seal form. The shaft seal device seals between the pump body and the pump shaft. It can prevent air from intruding into the pump and large amounts of water from leaking out of the pump. The sealing form of the centrifugal slurry pump usually uses the auxiliary impeller plus packing seal. The auxiliary impeller plus packing seal is a hydrodynamic seal. The pressure head generated by the auxiliary impeller resists the leakage of the liquid at the impeller outlet. At the same time, the impeller cover is used to set the back blade. Add a water sealing ring and packing to prevent air from entering, and use the back blade and water sealing ring to reduce the pressure at the packing, which prevents impurities from entering the seal.

Installation：

The following checks should be made when installing the slurry pump:

(1) The size, location, and elevation of the foundation should meet the design requirements. The anchor bolts must be properly and correctly fixed in the concrete foundation. The machine should not have missing parts, damage, or rust;

(2) According to the characteristics of the medium transported by the slurry pump, the materials of the main parts, shaft seals and gaskets should be checked if necessary.
