In the present industrial production and large-scale construction site, we can usually see the slurry pump with diesel power, which is mainly used to transport industrial raw materials and construction materials. So where can it be used in addition to these scenes? How does it work? What are its characteristics? With these questions, let's take a look at it.

The wet end parts of diesel engine driven slurry pump include: volute, impeller and Frame plate liner. The impeller is driven by diesel engine to rotate and generate centrifugal force, so as to achieve the purpose of slurry transportation. The slurry pump can be divided into horizontal slurry pump and vertical slurry pump according to the position of the shaft (horizontal or vertical). The slurry pump is mainly used to transport slurry containing solid particles, namely slurry. Therefore, its scope of work is applicable to: mining, electric power, metallurgy, coal washing, building materials and other industries that need to transport solid-liquid mixture.

The diesel engine driven slurry pump delivers a mixture of solid particles and water containing dregs. But in principle, slurry pump is a kind of centrifugal pump. The main working parts of the centrifugal pump are impeller and casing. The impeller device in the casing is located on the shaft and connected with the prime mover to form a whole. When the prime mover drives the impeller to rotate, the blades in the impeller force the fluid to rotate, that is, the blades work on the fluid in its direction of motion, thus forcing the pressure potential energy and kinetic energy of the fluid to increase. At the same time, under the action of inertia force, the fluid flows from the edge of the impeller and flows out at a high speed. The impeller enters the extrusion chamber and then discharges through the diffusion tube. This process is called the pressurized water process.

 At the same time, due to the flow direction edge of the impeller, a low-pressure area is formed in the impeller. When it has enough vacuum, under the action of the pressure at the suction end (generally atmospheric pressure), the fluid enters the impeller through the suction chamber, which is called the water absorption process. Due to the continuous rotation of impeller, the fluid will be discharged and inhaled continuously, forming a continuous work. The working process of centrifugal pump (including slurry pump) is actually a process of energy transfer and transformation. It transfers the mechanical energy of the high-speed rotation of the motor through the blades of the pump and converts it into the pressure energy and kinetic energy of the pumped fluid.
